WTB vtec head
Head swap time because I wanna upgrade the cam. Yes- N/A
So, I'm looking for someone with a head that came from his or her motor (not from ebay, or some guy that you know who knows a guy, or some questionable junkyard POS). Those of you with kswaps and your D17’s sitting around- I want you to have my cash because I want your head.
Requirements-
· Never boosted/sprayed/abused/beaten/battered
· No heads from cars that had accidents that could have compromised the integrity of the head
· No problems with the head
· No problems with the block that it came off of
· You must have the full history of the motor if it didn’t come off your car
· Having it checked by a machine shop that gives it the okay is a plus
Feels like a personal ad.
All the other heads I've come across have not come close to my idea of a decent head.
Contact method: post in here, PM, e-mail, AIM, telepathic communication- whatever.

Re: WTB vtec head
i might have what you need.
I have in my possesion a d17a2 vtec head. Partially unassmbled (primarily to close all the valves), but complete. The camshaft is out, the cam gear is off, the sensor is off, etc. But everything is neatly bagged and labled and not a single bolt is missing and with everything labled a child could determine what goes where. It was sourced from a k-swap part out with 60k miles on it. The motor was not blown. Never saw boost or laughing gas, supposedly garage kept and based on my inspection it is in very good condition. I am an ASE certified mechanic and I can show you credentials upon request. So im not just assuming that everything is ok, Im giving you a real, professional opinion. The head is pretty much ready to go, it just needs a vtec solenoid because for whatever reason it was never included with the head, but you can pick one up from majestic honda for about $60. I will also include a complete set of brand new OEM valve seals with the head if you decide to buy it.
I was going to throw this on my turbo DX along with a turbo cam, but for a number of reasons, have decided to go with a slightly less aggressive build. Possible object of interest #2: I also have a brand spankin' new set of Crower titanium valve springs and retainers. I JUST bought these last week for $300 and thats how much id like to sell them for.
I tried to make this post as thorough as possible, if i left anything out, just let me know.
