venom is way over priced for what it does.... from what i understand, the venom kit monitors air / fuel ratio. at wide open throttle, the nitrous is sprayed and if the computer senses the car going too rich or too lean, it will automatically shut off momentarily while the a/f ratio stablizes....

you could do the same thing with a regular NOS kit from holley... get a button and a air / fuel guage and you can monitor yourself... if it gets too lean or rich let go of the button...

please remember that nitrous is only to be used at wide open throttle and when the RPM's are above 2500...

someone correct me if i'm wrong...

I hear from some people that it was above 4000rpm that you use the nitrous. WOT at 2500rpm seems like it would bog the engine quite a bit, and the n2o would make it worse. Where's joe when you need him?

OK here we go.....

1st...bublik...yes a nitrous kit off of an integra should be ok. For the most part nitrous kits are universal.

2nd...NX kits are just like any other nitrous kit. Whether you go with NOS or NX you should be ok. As long as you take the proper precautions, and buy the correct parts.

OK about VENOM...for the billionth time today. Haha (i've posted about it in other threads). YES...the venom kit is quite pricey. If you have enough money to buy it then go ahead.

The main differences between NX and Venom kits are as follows:

1. Venom kits are Dry kit. NX kit is a wet kit. What does this mean? It means the NX kit will bring an extra solenoid that will mix fuel in with your nitrous. What's better? There;s a debate. Unless you areg oing with a DIRECT PORT nitrous kit, NO WET kit will distribute the fuel and n2o mixture evenly throughout all 4 cylinders.

2. The Venom kit is computerized. Meaning it will automatically detect if you are leaning out (as far as air/fuel goes) and if it detects this it will atuomatically shut off. With the NX kit you basically have to monitor it urself.

3. The venom kit hooks up to each one of your injectors....automatically maximizing the amount of fuel that you are getting. In other words, there is prolly no need for a fuel pump, and it kinda balances out the lack of an extra solenoid to mix in the fuel. In fact, in my opinion its actually better cuz it gets your own injectors to spit out more fuel.

4. The venom kit will only spray at WOT (wide open throttle) Because the computer has a direct connection to your TPS (throttle position sensor). You can do this with the NX kit too. I belive there is a way to hook it up this way. SO they kinda balance out here.

If you do your research...maybe call up a few of these companies or what not I am sure you can make the decision on your own. If money is a factor, then NX will obviously be be cheaper. But remember...an n2o kit isnt just an n2o kit. there are other things u might need to buy....like a bottle warmer, nitrous gauge, rich and lean gauge, etc. etc.
