Hey, I am new to the forums so please ignore the formatting.

I bought a 2005 lx special edition about a year back as a beater work car. It was cheap and ran decent, but I am looking to turn it into a project car. It has a D17A1 and 4 speed auto in it currently, but I would like to swap in a more powerful engine and a manual transmission into it. Any recommendations for swaps for 7th gens? I would prefer swaps that have parts out there to do it, so I would not have to fabricate much myself.

Lots of threads cover this. Financially speaking, no swaps make sense. You could D17A2 swap with a manual for probably about $1000 for 10 extra hp or K-swap for $4000+. Those are really your only two options.
