Is 7th gen dead?
Ok I have a total stock 2001 Civic DX with D17...reading through the forums and realize it's just not economical feasible today ...it crazy to mod these motors for $5000+ for 200HP. .. I have a full garage, time and money but it just doesnt make sense. I'm not paying $700 for motor mounts alone. Seriously! So is 7th gen dead?

Re: Is 7th gen dead?
Go buy a wrecked/rotted rsx for $1k or less, if you can drill out some spot welds and then re-spot weld the mount into the civic you can kswap your civic for the cost of the rsx. And then sell un-needed parts to further lower the cost.
Re: Is 7th gen dead?
$5000, you can hit 300hp plus
-ecu aem fic $500
-stand alone wide and air fuel sensor $300
-turbo parts: nissan 240 turbo, Bov, wastegate $600
-exhaust system plus manifold $600 (ebay speacial)
-walbro fuel pump $200
-500cc injectors $400
-intercooler and charge pipe $400
-tune $300+
=$3300
plus $1000 for pistons
$1000 Rods
=$5300
...
You could leave the pistons and Rods out if you want to run low boost 8psi ish.
