Engine swap ideas?

Hi guys I have a 03 civic ex vtec with approximately 160k. 5 speed trans. It has a decent amount of blow by you can hear the lifter a little and burns some oil. My question is should this be safe to turbo at low psi if I rebuild it or would I be better off getting a new d17? Or just send it and get a k20. My input shaft bearing is going bad and its pretty loud so if I have to rebuild the tran I might as well go all out with it. Let me know what u think!!

Valves are adjustable, has that been done?

Do you already have a realistic dollar figure in mind for a project?
Triple it. Maybe more. ("Project Car Rules")

Um....Rebuild? I'd think about running what's in it until it can't anymore. Then compare prices between used replacement or rebuild if that time comes
Kswap....idk. Not legal in all areas....research before you dive in

I should stay out of most repower threads LOL

I was thinking 3 or 4k in the next few months. Nothing to crazy I'm only aiming for like 200hp. I'll get the valves and rods checked for sure though man thanks for the replies. I wish I had that much for the Nissan engine though that would be pretty sick!

go buy a wrecked/rotted rsx. you'll have basically everything you need for a kswap and you can sell off some rsx parts to get money back

Didn't someone post a detailed swap very much like that in this forum, maybe last year...?

The poster was even drilling out the spot welds to remove all the mounting brackets from the body of the donor car, and transfer/welding them into the engine compartment of recipient car....it was probably the most OE looking conversion I've seen anyone post here
