rebuild engine

ok i need to rebuild my 01 civic engine and i was wondering where i go and how much to get all the parts to do it? i need all the bearings i guess and gaskets and im not sure what else thats why im asking here.

it probably would be easier to find a good used low milage engine and just drop it in. d17's are a dime a dozen.

If you really think on race buy a K20A2.

K20A2 for some $2000-3000 or more, plus some other parts and a lot of work. If you just use your car as a dayly driving buy a low milage D17 for some $500-700, loose some bolts and wires, drop in the new engine and ready to go...

P.S.
If have the money, I will swap to K20A or K20A2 (K20Z...).

And if you want to rebuild your engine the better way is replace almost all removable parts: gaskets, oil seals, bearings (comes in color codes), water pump, timing belt and tensioner, oil pump, piston rings, valve seal and guides, freeze plugs, head studs, spark plugs, etc. And a lot of work have to be done...

And need a repair manual...

Buy a low milage engine.

between parts and labor to rebuild a d17, it isn't worth it in my opinion.
