Re: Please help
Understand that it will take you years to build the skills to build a car yourself, for what you want, and I could tell you how to build a car, but, what I would do, and what you want could be very different.
What is your end goal?
drag racer?
drift?
track?
auto x?
rally X?
show car?
Civics are amazing platforms to build a fwd, very stable, track car, or auto X, but they can not compete in Formula Drift, They're not the best for drag (though it can be done); and no one will ever give you respect for a civic show car.
They're great to learn on and build your understanding of the automobile, they are intended to be safe, gas friendly, cheap cars. It will take years and thousands of dollars to be able to compete in any serious racing.
If you are not looking to build a competition platform at the moment and just want a little pep and fun in your car then
-swap the head to a vtec head )check our DIY section
-drop in a crower cam
- get I/H/E
-block egr with plate
-run your valve cover vent to atmosphere

Re: Please help
If money is no issue
then the K series is best for power which translates into better modded power.
As well the chassis of the civic coupe is almost identical in proportion to the rsx.
obviously you will need the
-engine
ecu
wiring harness
trans
aftermarket mount
(and look into the axles, I think the base rsx front axles will drop right into the civic brake knuckles)
Before you put it in grab some Eagle rods/pistons/rings
a Crower turbo cam
and springs and retainers
then the boosting items.
K series for sure!
D toooo low in power/way too much money to make them fast (I know I have one).
B series great engines but with the prices you can find K's at now you might as well grab as much stock power as possible.
...You could go for something crazy and do a J swap v6.

Not a diy article. Moving to correct section.
note that now that it is in the right section, you will now find several stickies in the top of the threads - they contain several useful info - we placed them there, so people would actually read them before actually asking questions that have been answered before...
