Hey new to the forum and just bought a 2003 honda sir (si in the USA i believe) with 153,000kms on it. Ive done a b16 swap in a del sol and owned a s2000 so ive been in the honda scene for a bit.
Im wanting to swap a jdm dc5 type r engine into it and just wondering how hard it would be and if anyone has done it? I amagine the engine mounts are all the same but how would the shift linkage all work?
Would love to get some info from people that have done it or if theres a forum about it around

I did a JDM EP3 K20A swap on my 2003 SiR. It was really easy. I needed the JDM EP3 front sway bar in order to use the JDM K20A exhaust manifold and catalytic converter. You should consider getting a JDM DC5 ITR or better center pipe. EP3 center pipe is tiny and restrictive. I did not have to notch my shift box in order to get into reverse. Make sure your swap comes with complete engine harness UNCUT. That way you can have reverse lockout working properly.
All in all, it's a pretty straight forward swap. You're swapping a K for a K. No modifications needed.
Good luck. Awesome powertrain. Worth every penny.

The difference was amazing! The LSD was the most shocking difference. You can feel it work while accelerating out of a hard cornering manoeuver. Also the gearing is incrediblty short compared to the OEM transmission. I do not have Kpro yet. I wouldn't mind spending on that upgrade. Looks like it can yield some pretty good gains.
