Ok so I just got a d17a2 motor from an 04 civic to put in my 02 civic dx besides changing the wiring harness and ecu is there anything else I need to do I have been reading through all the forums and I just want to make sure

But when I got the motor it came with an auto wiring harness that I'm trying to get rid of I need the 5spd one if you know anyone that has one to sell or trade

if you use an 04-05 ECU you need wideband O2 sensors

I don't see why not.

Are you gonna swap to an ex exhaust setup? or are you gonna keep the dx/lx setup? If you stick with the dx/lx setup, you may need to extend the O2 sensor wiring, too.. Or at least get O2 sensor extension harnesses

...? did your d17a1 die or something? just wanted to know why you didn't just swap the head, harness and exhaust onto the d17ai to make it an a2?

I cracked the block an just wanted to go to the vtec way I got the motor with a wiring harness for 550 but auto harness but also more upgrades I can do with the vtec head got a cam for it to already

I have an 02 LX, 5spd. The previous owner dropped in a d17a2 from an EX, including the EX harness (looks like it was from an AT, which is different from the MT harness). Some of the wiring came loose for the secondary 02 sensor and I'm having a hard time matching up the wires.

Does anyone have instructions to extend the 02 sensor wiring, or how to get a hold of an extension harness?

Password JDM has an 02 extension wire for about 20 bucks.
