from what i've read about the ebay turbo kits the main problems are turbo case welds braking and problems with the waste gates and bov's. if you broke the welds on the turbo turbine housing and polished the inside nicely then properly welded the case together i think it wouldn't be that bad of an item. then lets say you payed for a midrange decent waste gate. then the same for the BOV's. i havn't seen much on the intercoolers failing or the piping or oil cooling systems. so 500 for the kit plus 250 for bov plus 500 for wastegate = 1250 as opposed to say a GReddy kit for 2600 plus tax (14% here) = $2964. that's a difference of $1714. anyway just food for thought.
