I know we've visited this multiple times but again a few people have been swaping the D16 intake manifold to our D17 with minor modification. I was lurking around other forums and found a complete D16 supercharger kit. Question goes out to the people that are running the D16 intake manifolds. would it work on the same principal with this supercharger? Or would the pullies not even line up?

i see you're new here....and this one has actually been asked and answered several times over. as stated, the pulley housing is too long. the strut tower is right where that pully would be, so i would take some serious structural changes underhood to even get that thing to fit. I have oft-wondered about the centrifugal 'charger though. but again you run into clearance and space issues into where you'd be able to put it. they didn't leave much room under the hoods of our vics for anything other than stock

^^For a K20 it does......Belts are on Driver's side of the D series. Has it been that long since you've had a puny D17?

i think the vortech supercharger might just work with some mods cuz as far as i know it doesnt actually sit on the intake manifold. ITs a centrifugal one rite. I think thats wut ur talkin about. It would work kinda like on a scion tc you would make a mount so it could sit in line with the belt then make an extension to the belt off the compressor and run ic piping. it mite work. hopefully that makes sense to some of you.

A procharger would be a sweet idea. All you'd really need is a custom belt and a mounting adapter plate to mount it in place of the a/c compressor or ps pump...

My Idea was to just use the Scion S/C, and use an EPS rack from the EP3 and mount the pulley in its place. I thought about this a while ago but I haven't really pulled the funds together...unfortunately. I think it'd be a sweet idea.

this is why i went onto 2 toyota's as project cars...i got an ae82 fx16 with a redtop 4AGE and my suspension is finally in...soon it will be 4AGZE swaped (supercharged) and i might twin charge it (super/turbo)
my other one is an ae86 hatchback gonna be swapped with a 20v blacktop 4age...the d17 is just too hard and expensive to keep modding...even the civic itself...my ae82 with about $1200 its already engine swapped, converted to manual from auto, new springs and shocks and a stereo system
