Quick turbo question

Just wanted to know if a turbo from a 1g eclipse fit an 04 civic?
I had a friend just give me a fresh rebuilt turbo that fit his eclipse but ended up selling the car and now the turbo is in my hands and was curious if it will fit my civic. I know i would still need other parts put as far as the actual turbo goes will it fit or work in my car?

Re: Quick turbo question

Short answer is yes, you just need to know what kind of flange it takes to mount it to a manifold. If its a T25 (should be) or a T3, then you're in luck and can find manifolds that directly fit it. Any turbo can physically fit any car as long you've got a manufacturer who makes a manifold for your car and whatever footed turbo you have. Then you just build around the turbo. However, I have no idea what the specs are on the 1G turbo to know what to expect from a power standpoint.

Re: Quick turbo question

You're going to need to have a custom manifold made. Mitsu turbos like the 14b you're talking about don't use t25, t3, etc flanges.

Re: Quick turbo question

^ correct. By the time you make everything to use this turbo and get the car running good, you'll end up spending more than a kit and getting half the results. For a lil more ummph just grab a nitrous kit and zap it with a 50 shot.
