Arrow FORCED INDUCTION or N/A....why?

Ok so..I havnt been here for that long, but i read almost twice a week some argument about why FI is better than N/A or vice versa.

Well here's a thread to state your opinion. Tell everyone why either of those methods of performance is better than the other, and you better have a better argument than the guy before you. Dont just copy what they said.

State your own reasons and dont be afraid to hear some crap from people. This is an open discussion and feel free to try and prove yourself right. And you know what, lets keep our minds open. Lets not just think in terms of D17s. Keep it open to K series, B, H, whatever motor you feel will best prove its point.

Im first

I think N/A is better in general. More reliable, more feeling of an accomplishment, then just slapping on a turbo and calling it a day. do you know much work goes into extracting power from what you had from the start? its crazy. i love seeing N/A cars. i like turbo and supercharged cars too but cmon...nothing says accomplishment and BEAST than an all motor monster that puts out more power than FI cars. Face it, theres N/A cars that push out more power than some boosted cars as well.

i logged on just to say this. You must be ignorant or just stupid to think if you can boost for 1500. have fun cutting corners and blowing everything up.

Re: FORCED INDUCTION or N/A....why?

Boost is the easier way to make power out of a small displacement engine. You also get MUCH more torque at lower RPMs. NA guys are usually spinning the engines insanley high to get good ##s. A turbo car with power at 3-4k rpms is a lot more driveable then a car that doesnt make any till 6k. A turbo car also can be reliable the only extra maint you should be doing is more often oil changes. You just cant cut corners... Especially with the tuning. Plus if you go NA with high compression pistons your stuck with high compression paying out the *** for gas. where as with boost you can just turn it down and run the cheaper stuff provided you are tuned for it.
