well.. im not saying to blame them.. just go to them and ask them or something.. since you have connections ask your connections to see if they can help you out and double check it..

as for the ecu??... if you can find another one.. go to acura and get it reflashed and try again with the emissions..

yes you can still sell the ecu to someone else cause they can still get it reflashed.. OR if someones getting kpro anyways it dont matter if it was reflashed or not.. make sense?

Obviously, you dont understand how emissions work in VA on OBD2 vehicles. They've made it where you can't cheat. The only way Ive thought about cheating is running my VIN then hooking up to someone elses car, but Im not sure if our VIN numbers are stored in out ECUs or not. If they are, they will see that they dont match up and Im in some ****. Does anyone know if our VINs are stored in our ECU??

If I hook up to someone elses civic to check my emissions, but enter in my VIN # for my registration, would the emissions dept be able to find out?? Anyone who knows the ECUs well on our cars, does the EM2 ECU contain any type of VIN number to let the emissions know that I ran someone elses car instead of my own?? Let me know.....

u have to ask someone in VA about that cause most of our emissions in other states are nto really that strict.. i mean here in nevada they plug into our cars to do smog and everything but it dont check the ecu vin... they scan the barcode on the side of the car and run the diagnostic..

Well, if there is no VIN stored in the 7th gen ECUs then there shouldnt be a problem. So, I need to know if anyone knows IF our VIN is stored in our ECUs....Thanks

What year is your car? The RSX started doing that in 2005-2006 so I doubt the 7th gen prior to 2005 had it as well. Mind you our ecu's are not even flashable but I'm sure you can ask honda this question and find out the truth.

True....I will ask Hondata as well, I just want to make sure that if I run someone elses ECM under my VIN # that Im not gonna get busted by DEQ.
