ok. Before i ask my question let me tell you what i'm working with.. 2002 LX Coupe Vic.. I'm really pissed right now, because the other day as i was driving home, i did some internal engine damage.. I can pay $850 and get the same motor, but now that i have this great oppurtunity. I'm thinking motor swap.. I'm asking for opinions on what you guys think would be my best route. I've been reading up on the K series, and it looks like its out of my price range. Looking to spend 3-4 grand. I don't race on the track or anything like that, but i'm looking to make my civic pull harder. You know take off on my friends every now and then. Attract the ladies. Please help me out guys..

you can pick up a D17 for $300 bucks. Whoever's charging you 850 is full of it.
And there's really no feasible way you'd get a K in the car for 4000 and make it run.

no it is quit possible that it might cost $850 for a new engine. the value is there but not the need. that is why they are soo cheap on ebay. no one "wants" one, but that doesnt mean it is not worth it. besides the one he is getting probably has some type of warrenty on it.

Thanks for the help, but whoever put there money on over revving is correct. It just happened to me going to 2nd gear.. On a hill in my area. And if its been covered I apologize, but i'm a newb to this ****, and my searching skills are very poor.. Anyhow, my car looks pretty nice already, so i'm looking for some more speed. Thanks for the tip HyeHonda05. I've been doing research, and i've found a couple already for about 1300.. Who knows.. I'll get some pics up of my vic, here eventually. Probably 2morrow.. Thanks again
