K20Z1 swap need help with radiator????
Ok guys doing a K20Z1 swap into my 01 civic and am having problems with buying a radiator. The Koyo radiator for the stock 01 civic will fit in car but won't match up to my K20Z1 upper and lower rad hoses, and the rsx type-s koyo radiator is bigger. will match up to the motor but won't fit in the 01 civc. Which koyo radiator will work with this swap???????????? Thanks for the help guys
i have used both the EP3 and the RSX.. the only difference is the location of the radiator cap.. the rsx radiator opening is like 1/4 in to the right i think it was.. or left.. anyways use any of the 2
I used an EP3 Radiator and EP3 hoses. If you use an aftermarket EP3 Koyo radiator then you will have to get an aftermarket thin fan for the drivers side becuase the Koyo radiator is thicker than a stock EP3 radiator. Hope this helps.

another vote for ep3 radiator. That's what I'm running and never had a problem. Stock engine doesn't really make enough power(heat) to need an upgraded rad. Unless you plan on going FI or something crazy you should stick with the stock EP radiator. If you have bigger plans down the road, well go ahead and get the Koyo.
lol.. if i had to vote... i pick both.. dont matter cause i used both.. haha..
anyways i live in an area where it gets really hot during the summer.. the stock radiator wasnt cutting it.. so i had to upgrade to something that would cool much faster
