K20Z1 Swap into a 2002 Civic Sedan.. Starting Soon
Hey everyone,
For the past few months I've been piecing together parts for my kswap. I've been doing a lot of reading on here as well as k20a.org on how the whole procedure works and me and a few buddies are quite confident we can get this going ourselves. I'm also converting my car from automatic to manual. There are just a few misc. parts I am missing but I will get them all very shortly.

Here is a list of what I have so far:
K20Z1 ('05 RSX-S) Motor and Transmission Complete
RSX Shifter Cables
RSX Shifter Assembly
RSX Throttle Cable
RSX Subframe
RSX Power Steering Lines
RSX Clutch Slave Cylinder
RSX Slave to Master Cylinder Line
RSX-S (2004) Catalytic Converter with Primary and Secondary o2 Sensors
Civic (1994) P/S Reservoir w/ Bracket
Civic EP3 Radiator
Civic EP3 Driveshafts
Civic EP3 Upper and Lower Rad. Hoses
Civic Clutch and Brake Pedal Assembly
Civic Clutch Master Cylinder
HASport ESK1 Mount Kit
Hondata KPRO . 05-06 Style w/ Adapter Harness
I'm sure theres a bunch of other things I'll need but I guess I'll find out as I go along.
The swap will begin sometime this February. I'm hoping to have this finished by March 8th as thats when Performance World (Car Show) is and thats where I hope to debut my ES1-S.
I Will try my best to take as many pictures of the progress and update whenever I have time.
Oh and special thanks to xproductionz, dru106, hondaluver, drivetofast, and many others for answering my many questions!

So im pretty ignorant bout the k20z1. I know only the k20z3 is drive by wire but is the only difference between k20z1 and the k20a2 is the camshaft? Why did acura change the name?
Good luck with the swap! I know of one other person besides myself that are doing or have done the K20Z1. The Turbo K20Z1, and mine which should be back from the machine shop anyday. If you have any questions feel free to contact me, I'm doing everything to my Z1. When Done it will have 450 hp to the wheels without a turbo and the bottle. I'm going all motor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Other than those things, its pretty much the same... only reason I got the z1 is because i got a real good deal on it and its a newer engine with less clicks.
