Who knows, he's been talking about intake manifolds for the d17 but this guys using the custom fit venom mani. the exhaust doesnt look like dezods EL. Maybe he's got exactly what you have plus sleeves and maybe port work? It doesnt make sense to get all that work done and not touch the head ports. I'm willing to bet that the only thing not upgraded is the crank. But then only seeing 390ish @ 25 psi makes me think he hasn't done something with the head. Bah, this guy needs to post some specs.
The graph seems a bit more believable.

show me a high revving motor that build tq past 8000 rpm and then your statements might have a slight bit of validity to them
