200whp
200whp
My goal is 200whp with my 2005 civic lx mt...thinking about going custom. i was also looking at some kits and only giving about 170-180. what should i watch out for or what do i need to make this whp without hurting my engine TOO much. im open to different setups that u guys suggest. thanks.

Build internals so you can run higher boost. Thats all it takes to make 200whp safely. Should be able to with 10psi at least. Plenty of turboed guys on here that can point you in the right direction. Also fuel management plays a huge role. Invest in a good system you've won half the battle.

dont even bother with the emanage, just pick up the aem ems and a good set of injectors to get you started.
Easily attainable on 6-7 psi with the aem. Pick up the dezod kit and get the aem with rsx injectors. A return line with a rising rate ruel pressure regulator is a good idea too.
Of course, if you want, you can always go with a custom intake manifold and run larger injectors without the return line or fuel pressure regulator.

Or in some cases.. a custom intake manifold + larger injectors + return line + fuel pressure regulator. for the guys who dont wanna run 10,000,000 cc injectors. But yea 6-7 psi with the aem tuned get you closer to 200 than anything else.
dude save your self a headache and buy your self a turboed car.... u may not agree with me now but you will later..... if ur tight with money then tell us ur budget.... all these people are suggesting aem ems but its like $1,700 if ur on tight budget then thats not an option. later
why not do a head swap so you can have v-tech have it ported and pollished that will help you get closer to 200. you can find the head for around 300 to 500 and a good port and polish will run you close to 200 you should gain about 20hp from it that will bump the 170-180 to 190-200.

Oh that price range is more for a full longblock, a head shouldn't be more than 150.
Plus, we're talking wheel horsepower here, not crank. If you think a stock rsx will make 200 whp, you're very wrong, it's a 15 second car. Boosted at 200 whp, a 7th gen is capable of 13's, much faster than a stock rsx. And getting an na d17 to 200 whp is going to be damned near impossible.
