Im havein a little trouble decidin on getting an s2000 in about 4-6 months, or turboing my car in the next month. Swap is not an option... Does anyone have and sugestions? If I go s2000 I will proably end up turboing it or puting on a super charger, after I save some money and done with car payments proably.. What do you all think?

Rep Power: 233 Yeah I was thinking the same while I was washin my car.. I was thinkin yah my civic looks nice its got rims and its slamed, but an s2000 sitin there in black, white, red, or dark blue would look alot better! And I tought about how the s2000 would proably beat my turbo civic and the s2000 would be stock and a million times more reliable.. Anyone readin this know and sites for rims, suspention, and stuff for sk2's? And Im gunna be doin auto cross and a s2000 would be alot more fun then a civic right?? RWD > FWD

i had the money for a downpayment for the s2k, i went to check with the insurance company on rates, and was told 5k/yr because of my driving record. so now i'm swapping a k-series into my em2 instead.
the civic was going to be my daily, and the s2k my weekend car. i'll get one later on if im interested still.
dont turbo unless you have an extra car.

Rep Power: 233 Oh yah I forgot about insurance I need to call and find out how much.. And what do you mean that they are gunna stop makein s2000's?? Also why not turbo unless I have an extra car? I know alot of people that are turbo and its there daily driver. I would proably end up super chargein it since I herd its better since they dont have good TQ low end.

Rep Power: 277 not sure how much extra money u have, but talking about Civic and S2k is just totally different man, but if you really want to turbo either cars, since you look like you don't know much about TURBO, try it with Civic and learn more from it then go with s2k

Rep Power: 233 Well if I turbo my civic then I have 2 get my tarny rebuild or get a new one cuz mine grinds in 3rd and I will have 2 get a new clutch. Also there is really nowhere around where I live that tunes so thats a bitch and a half.. And swap is soo much $ to put in a civic its half the cost the car.

Rep Power: 230 swap is definitely worth the price IMO, even though it's pricey, you have so much more potential with a new motor.
anyone can sell there car and get an s2k, but how many people do you see turboing or swapping their 7thgencivic. (of course you see it here, but in general, it's not a common sight.)
i have lots of friends with s2k's, and the furthest they go with the car is an intake, and an aftermarket radio.

Rep Power: 233 Well thats there own choice. And yah in my area there is NO k-swaps around everyone has B series, SRT-4,STi, and Evos.. But you never get the amount of $ you put in a car out of it so why put $7,000 in the motor when if you get in a werck its all gone, or if u sell it ur car value dont go up $7,000 so. But yah k-swaps are the **** I would love 2 do one but I cant, I like seein all the pics of peopls on here doin cuz its tight. But my civic needs 2 much work I have alot of dents and ****. So Im gunna tryin and get an s2000 in the next 6-10 months so, mine is just be a clean s2k. And last there are alot of SOHC turbos around my area they are kinda quick but just not enought.

Rep Power: 326 Why spend 30k on a car that will be slower than your civic could be right away? Sure, an s2000 looks better, has a more powerful engine pound for pound but if you boost, you can smoke a stock s2000, plus, you won't have higher insurance payments, bigger car payments, etc.
If you like your civic, stick with it an go turbo. Get a spare motor and build it. Then put it in and take it to town. Have a 12 second civic instead of a 14 second s2000.

Rep Power: 265 why is everyone so afraid of turbo? I dont know by what you mean reliability, if all is done proper you wont need to worry about it. I never had problems with a turbo kit after installed, maybe intercooller pipe blowing imagine your intake hose coming loose, thats all
