Its doesnt matter if you'll be able to smoke stock s2ks or not with your civic done up. Wouldn't you want to be in a more refined vehicle? Better suspension, better seats, better interior, looks nice, its a convertable. The list just goes on. If you can afford it. Do it. Or..at least drive one and see how you like it. Especially if your young, and not married, then you wouldnt really need a really practical car. The S2K would be practical enough, no?

Better track conditions, my trap could have yielded a high 12.

I say 250-275 whp would do it.

Yeah, noob, I'm dreaming. I didn't say a 12 flat, I said a high 12. .3-.4 seconds will easily lower an ET .8 seconds. My 60' on that run was like a 2.4. A 2.1 or better could very well have gotten me into the 12's. Besides, look at the trap, it was 106, genius, do a little research and see what kinds of ET's those trap speeds yield before opening your big mouth.

You know, I get pm's from members all the time telling me that they had no idea the things I'm doing/have done/am planning to do were possible with a d17. I wonder why that is? Maybe because people hang arond these forums and get misinformation all the time and think it's really factual with nothing to back it up. That's what I've been screaming since day 1. I'm glad I'm not a mod or an admin because I would shoot down so many of these bs posts just to prevent all the untrue bs info that gets posted
