d17a1 to d17a2

My engine d17a1 lx 2003 blew on me a few months ago and replaced it with a d17a2 ex 2005. I am having trouble finding out whare the other 02 sensor plugs in. the one in front the cat plugs in to the connecter on the harness but the one further back has no place to plug in. Whats up with that. Can anyone me out. I need to pass inspection. cant keep dodgeing cops forever.

the ex cat setup is under the engine unlike the lx which is mated with the exhaust manifold. that secod o2 sensor will need to be extended to reach the harness in the engine bay. the EXs come with a harness that extends from the engine bay to underneath the car. Figure out how much longer you need and cut-n-splice new wires to extend it to reach. SOLDER all connections and use heatshtrink tubing, NOT JUST BLACK ELECTRICAL TAPE! Make sure you match up the same wires.I would do one at a time just in case.
