turbo build question

I have been reading through a lot of the forums for turbo'd 7thgens and have become very confused. Right now i plan on running 8psi (no plans to go higher) on my 02 civic ex. I need some guidance/explanation on the tuning tools that i will need.
Turbo:
T3 w/ internal waste gate
lower compression head gasket
vafc II
apexi turbo timer (does not control boost just cool down for turbo)
intercooler and all piping
RSX injectors
High volume inline fuel pump

I have and was planning on tuning with apexi vafc II. I also have a high volume inline fuel pump and 330cc RSX injectors. Do i need to get an FMU also? Is vafc II enough to tune or do i really need emanage to mess with timings and such? any help appreciated. thx

1 Ditch the vafc-II and get emange with harness. vafc II is one of the most generic things thet you cn get to tune w/turbo.

2 Buy t3/t4 turbo insted, prices are similar, but t3/t4 better hight end power.

3 Inline pump wont help or be needed for 8psi for any turbo d17, save $.

4 No need for fmu either.

5 Dont change headgasket, unless it blows. Low compression gasket wouldnt do a lot of benefit (I just simplified terms)

6 Of course you'll need other things, but you're on the right track now.

You can get by with an afc but you won't make near the power you would with an emanage. Ditch the headgasket, turbo timer isn't needed if you can count for one minute, or just get a stopwatch, lol. Don't get an inline fuel pump, it's a band aid, I'd say an intank walbro 255lph fuel pump wouldn't be a bad idea.
