cryo(sp?) treating the tranny?
ok dezod is really makin me think of stayin wit the d17 since he has alot of beautiful products where the d17 can handle alot of power which im interested in. thats why im saving for a k20 cuz then when i boost i dont have to worry about the tranny and axels. only 2 things thats stoppin me boostin the d17. now i just dont wanna slap a kit on and make 200hp. i would like to make over 300hp thus why i was gonna go wit the k20 route and boost it. was talkin to a friend and he said about cyro treatin the tranny makin the gears harder and "freezes" them to handle alot of power. anybody know about this and where could we get this done. also he said drive shaft has axels so really only thing left from stoppin me boostin the d17 is the manual tranny will give out at about 300hp. any real solution to a more durable tranny for us? i would love to stay wit my d17 and really see the potential since dezod and other companies pretty much covered everything. and yes i would build the motor before boostin. so any thoughts about this cryo treating?

I would say a change of flywheel and clutch could help the tranny out I know andyman is doing just that right now and almost at the 300hp with the d17

Thermal Cycling.
29641 Eagle Station Drive, Westly Chapel, Fl. 33543
(813) 309- 2696.
Contact Jeff Carlton
Tell him you know me from Hondaland and you are well recomended.
I suggest buying a used tranny, pull the gears and anything else suited for thermo cycling.
Then put it into your car.
You can also do your stock, block, rods, valves, etc.
No need for sleeves or custom rods or even pistons.
I already have a small project on the works
although I'm doing it here in Orlando

dork
yo hector you comin next saturday to the honda/acura meet right? better bring ur orange ***.
You are going to need: Motor Mount Inserts, LSD, LCA Bushings, Cryo-treated gears, and a nice set of slicks to be able to actually lock that kinda of power to the ground. It is quite possible assuming you could find a company that makes the LSD for the D-series tranny, but I do not know of one. Good luck with that project, it would be one mean D-series......
Sim, I have a 2002 EX Tranny with 11k miles on it for sale. I bought it in case I needed it and never ended up using it. LMK.
Oh and if you have a tranny core you can send it to a company called GearSpeed to have it rebuilt to your specs. Look them up if you like.
