k24 ecu

k24 ecu

hi i have a friend who has a k24 motor and trans but no ecu key or wiring harnes , i have heard that you have to get the key and ecu that matches the motor. is there any way around this? do i just have to have my key matched to any k24 ecu or what?

you need a K-pro with a K24. So there's no way around getting a Kpro. You can use your key with a Kpro cuz it doesn't care about the stinkin immobilizer

oo so i have to use a k-pro with the k24 huh? well what about a k20a3 i dont really want to buy a k-pro. i want to do it as cheap as possible any other sugestions?

Once you hit the $5000 or so minimum that it takes to do this, whats the point in doing it cheap?
You can use an A3 ecu, but you still need to get it Hondata flashed to kill the immobilizer (which is over half way to a Kpro) or take it to honda with the motor paperwork and the car paperwork and have the new ecu reprogrammed to your key. I can't see that being too cheap, and chances are you'll still end up with a Kpro down the road. Instead of fishing for the cheapest way to do it, why not just get what you want and do it right?

kpro it with a type S head... you can use a type S wire harness and a base,si, type S, or R tranny for it also
