Ok, I'll address the questions that are here. I'm still waiting for Dezod to PM me back about the details in advance, I'll hold to his request and tell him first.
Anyways.
Its not so much that as I want some more fun. Yes, I can't stand getting walked on, especially now considering I have friends with fast cars. I originally looked into doing some sort of swap (most likely it would have been an Accord swap), but the price just compounds to enormous numbers by the time you have everything, its also less feasible to do in a weekend in a driveway without really cool equipment. This is a less expensive alternative to that and I'm looking at getting similar results, if not a little better.
I'm going to Street Mod, where I'll continue to get my *** handed to me. I came to the realization a while ago that this car doesn't hold a stick to much anyways, so I'm gonna go have my fun. I've been getting more and more into track days and stuff anyways, so more power will be welcome on the longer circuits when compared to autoX.
I let the cat out of the bag. It appears you let your cat into the box. There's a difference
Totally DIY custom. I'm grabbing parts from everywhere, some of them from other cars, some from metal stock, some off the shelf. All KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) rules are in effect. I guarantee you that there will be nothing of my usual ground breaking mods done here. I'm sticking to convention and making it work with as few complications as possible while still having everything that's needed to make the car run the way it should.
Anyways.
wait so now that you can turn and stop your tired of being killed in the straight aways?
Also, I dont' know much about auto-x, but how will this affect your class placement and stuff?

Are you going custom or buying a kit?

) Thats kinda the issue right now... we need a place with a plug in the lot and a sheltered place to do it without people giving us **** for the welding flash.... so we really need a garage, but we're all too poor for a house, which creates the problem. If you want help doing it though, I'll probably be up for it. I wouldn't mind seeing whats involved and helping out. Joined: Oct 2002

thought i wouldent see the day someone like you would be going boost. cool that you arent going with a kit. personally, after looking at my stafford kit when i got it, i had the realization that me and some freinds could have made that for alot less.

I'll be doing the electronics first, maybe even before the turbo itself goes in, since it's what i do best.
VERY good suggestion. Do the kit in stages that way if you have a problem its much easier to figure out. And easier to deal with one problem this week or month instead of 5 or 6 problems on a sunday night when you need to drive it to work monday morning!

And SHOULD be fairly easy installs that are tested to fit. Unlike when i did mine it took many hours of trial and error on charge pipes, and especially the downpipe to get it JUST RIGHT! Thread Starter

We were going to have a strategy weekend to figure out what we needed to do (and buy last minute), install stuff we could put in (I might have an interfooler for a few days), then do the big work and hope it works, if not, at least have a handle on the problem. My biggest fear is electronic gizmos and getting the thing to start and keep itself running long enough to get it somewhere that knows how to play with the computer. Mechanically, I've got a handle on fixing problems.
Thankfully, I take the train to work and if it doesn't run, I'll just have it towed to the shop and not worry about anything but the price to make it run.

^thats where I come in, I do electrical work on cars for a living, getting the electrical stuff running is the LEAST of my worries. You can use my emanage support tool too, if you need it. assuming youll be using the greddy emanage.

yeah, E-manage + Dezod's harness and TSX injectors.
If you need help with plumbing and the like...I've figured out the knacks of stainless lines and stuff by now.

Ok, I'll leak a little bit out....
No loud *** blow off valve. This is the only wrinkle in the whole thing. I'm gonna use a DV and recirc it into the turbo inlet. Why? Its quieter because its not an atmospheric vent and the rush of pressurized air keeps the turbo spooled.
