emanage unit update probs!?
hey,
I have my emanage hooked up just to ground and power source wire.
wen i give it power the active led will come on for about 10sec and go out.
Wen i open the support thool it saying online, if i disconnect or power down
the support tool will go offline.switch and tried all com ports i could use.
if the serial ports are correct i can go the communication> udate main unit
than select the file.
Than it should be interacting with main unit but the support tools keeps
running and counting the minutes.so what can i do now or is there something
with my emanage?

the active led will be solid green for 10 sec and thenit turn off, than i

Than i go to the menu communiction and select update main unit.I open
the GSC01.p to update and updating main unit window appears than it
need to update but no interacting is going on and it will just keeps counting.

well i dont think it would realy make a difference. because it saying online
in the support tool so the usb/serial cable is working but i well gonna try
with a serial/usb adapter. It should work if i just use a 12v source and
connect the power and ground wire? right?
could it be that the unit is bad or ..... maybe i need to mail greddy
this is realy weird if ya ask my.

well i have looking at the update list its saying v1.20/v1.40 is used for the
gold emanage.but wen i install my cd its also v1.20/v1.40.
So i started from scratch with the first version 1.10/1.20 and tried updating
main unit.if i check the version info of the support tools it would only say
the software version and not the firmware update version.
Than i did update main unit and this was the result 1block update and nothing
more.

so i did every update from v1.10/v1.20 till v1.10/v1.36 these would all gave
my the same result.ones it update v1.13/v1.39 it didnt do any update of the
main unit.
