engine shutting off, please help

yestorday my buddy installed my rsx-s injectors and my greddy profec boost controller. after the install we went for a test drive and everything was alright except for when i hit 5 lbs(what i set the high setting to) then let off the gas, the car just died. no spuddering, jerking, i barely even noticed it was off. so it died 3 times when i was driving home. i reseted the ecu and drove to and from work with no problems today. tonight while i was driving i decided to have a little fun and i hit full boost (5lbs) and let off, the car died again. does anyone have any idea what could be wrong? are the injectors not spraying enough? too lean causing it to die? ecu problem? any help is appreciated cuz im stomped. thanks in advance

My car has done that when I hit the NOS. Even if its only for like 5 seconds, it has happened. It happened at the track too when I hit my 14.6. It was sorta scary trying to slow down from 100mph with your car completely off with no ps or ABS. I think it's because of the ECU being overloaded but I still have no clue.

check the ohms of the rsx injectors vs that of your stock injectors.. the resistance could be different causing your ecu to heat up? not sure... just a thought.

iamboo is on a distinguished road
if you get a CEL you might be running too rich... you need something to control your 330cc rsx injectors... if you want... try turning UP the boost a lil if you don't have a fuel management unit in place like an e-manage... either that or pull out the injectors until you have something to control the fuel with....

if you're not running too rich, it sounds like the infamous missing link check valve problem... if you don't have one of those installed, your car will die if it sees any sort of boost at all...

I also say your running to rich. You gotta get a emanage or something to control them

thanks for the help guys. i dont have any fuel management right now so that could be cause #1. neither do i have a missing link, cause #2. my car did throw a cel today so maybe a missing link will fix this? trying to slow down from 80 is a bit sketchy when your power steering goes out. should i just pull the rsx injectors and install my stocks with a missing link? thanks alot

If you install stock don't boost thats just too dangerous. Get the missing link and a e-manage thats the only way your going to fix this

You need to tune the injectors. Running too rich/lean will cause your car to shut off, and not having a ML will cause the CEL without a doubt.

Your codes will probably be:

-High voltage Map BARO, or something like that, which means no ML, ecu is seeing boost

-Something with fuel running lean

I bet if hes running rsx injectors with out some sort of fuel management it will be a rich condition more than likely. Im actually removing like 20-30% from the RSX injectors at WOT
