Need help! weird boost cut problem...
d17 with HKS GT-SS at 7 psi... Dastek Unichip fuel management...
I was cruising on the highway at 5th gear... and then I downshifted to 4th gear, it went to about 3500 rpm and I gave a full throttle... the turbo started spooling and when it's about to go into boost, suddenly the BOV went off and I lost the power... and then the check engine light went on right away. but the car didn't stall or anything.
I drove slowly and stop upon a traffic light... when I accelerate on green light, the car felt like losing power and under load (the turbo spooling). when I stop... the car stalled.
when I restart the engine... the engine check light was gone. I went back to the workshop and the guy in the workshop said, it might went overboost. so we set it at 5 psi and did some test runs... nothing happen... the car acted normally.
so what happened there? I'm pretty sure I wasn't even hitting 7 psi when it cuts off...

do you have the missing link check valve installed?
what kind of injectors are you using? What else are you using in your fuel setup besides the Dastek Unichip?
are you using any kind of alcohol injection?

sorry I'm new to turbo... my friend who owned a workshop installed it for me.
can't identify the extra injectors but I'm sure it's there.
no alcohol injection too.

Get a missing link without the car will stall. The map sensor was ment to read negative(vacuum) not positive(boost) so without the missing link the map reads the positive and thinks the car is messed up. Thats what you should do i think you are good to about 4-5 pounds anything over you need the missing link
I still advise you get the missing link. My car always felt like **** then i got the missing link and everything felt better its a pretty good thing to have and its like 60 bucks. Well who knows what happened that time but good luck and if you have any further questions feel free to pm me
