I think the k20a3's are 9.6:1??. .. I don't think they're quite 10.0

k20a2 is an acura type s motor... where as a k20a3 is an EP3/base rsx motor.

It is 9.8:1 for the A3
11:1 for the A2
They both have the same VTC.
The A2 has a three lobe VTEC
The A3 has a Two lobe VTEC like the D17A2 (A.K.A. VTEC-E)
The A3 in the Si (only the Si not the base rsx) has stupid Balanceing shafts.
The A3 in the Base RSX and the A2 in the Type-S do not have the B/S
And many more things

There are many other small things like oil squirters, oil cooler and what not. Here is a link to the service manuals for the two motors Explore.

Also squirters are for heat, not for profomance

Primarily.... but more heat=less power, and engine go boom. Extra cooling has a byproduct of more power, not to mention it saves the engine from itself.

k20a3 runs on lower compression so its way easier to turbo it and k20a2 has all that good stuff which makes it a pretty fun car to drive
