ITB's {dun dun dunnnnn)
So who thinks, or knows, that ITBs will fit into the engine bay after a k20a2 swap. I figure that maybe a little of the hood support and the front support bar may be in the way, but could be shaved down a little. Thoughts, comments, flame suit?

One person did the swap and crammed a jackson racing super charger in there.
There might be hodd clearence issues.
Here is a side shot of some throttle bodies in a rsx.

o i c, you mean serperate throttle bodies for each cylinder! ive seen preludes with superchargers do it. ive seen hot rods with it. i believe you could pull it with a k20. i never understood the need for the serperate ones compared to the one main TBI. you would think to just get a bigger bore or something. no flaming, good thought though. anyone care to answer my q?
it gets rid of most the restriction on the intake. it doesnt always add power. typically you shouldnt do it unless your heavily modded otherwise its a waste of money. the main reason to do it is because it looks cool.

it gives instant throttle response. Basically it negates the need for plenum area. It is made for high reving applications. The low end torque is usually not up to par when mated with short runners, but you can modify the runners to make it perform where you want it.
I thought I saw someone retrofit ITBs from a street bike (GSXR?) onto a B16? or B18? I don't know how well that go over w. the K20 owing to the extra power/displacement, but just a thought. Also, does TODA make ITBs for the K20, I think they have a set for the F20? or at least a set in development.

I know that they fit inside an RSX, I guess a better question was how differn't are the hood/ front support bars in our cars vs the type-s. If they were pretty much the same then we would be ok. The ITB would be the last thing done after a full toda install, including n2 camshafts, their N/A kit (pistons and all), kpro, new IM and the such. It was a question for the final step of a full n/a build. I don't need to kow about ITB's, my question was for clearence.

So in other words you don't know for sure? It seems since the TWM ones fit a stock RSX they should fit ours, maybe after a little shaving.

Only down size is that it responds to temp changes 4 times as bad as a normal intake...

Have fun running itbs without a decent ems and they'll be lots of fun to tune
. Just some extra $$$ to think about. You can retrofit, itbs of bikes onto cars yes but you need some welding skills as you need to cut the middle of the itb to make measures. No big problems but don't think it's near bolt-on.

ITB's would be the last on my list, if I went through with it. KPRO, N2 cams, ITB's and Toda Race header.
