*I wouldnt want to do a b16, b18 so dont post that crap in this thread. Strictly k-series (a2)
I originally was gonna buy a new car in the spring time but have been thinking lately about doing a 92-95 Hatch project with a k20a2. Im new to the swap thing...dont know much about it, but I know Ill have the resources/tools necessary to perform the job. I wanna know what ill need to buy (aftermarket or not) and what type of electrical work ill be getting into. I wouldnt be doing this alone....I have friends and especially my father (Who has built cars) to help me along.
So far I know that ill need....
-k20a2 and tranny
-engine wiring harness and ecu
-hasport motor mount kit
-hasport's axles for the k-series in the 92-95
-aftermarket clutch/flywheel
-What about wiring up the dash/gauge cluster?....is there a wire harness for this?
-Will lI need any kind of tuning equipment/fuel managment type ****?, I plan on keeping it N/A, no F/I
-Can I use hondata?
-What will I do about the ignition...use one from the RSX or keep the factory one in and modify it for the new setup or will I have to get some type of aftermarket ignition like MSD?
-Any tranny modifying....im assuming none besides a stronger clutch/flywheel
-Brake modding?
-Steering modding?
-Im assuming that some type of custom exahust setup will have to be made so Im expecting that
*I know this has nothing to do with the 7thgen, but you guys always give good feedback , this is why I know that I can come here for this info. Im assuming that the whole thing (car/parts/paint) will be around 15k...sound right?
More questions may come as I keep thinking about this......thanks in advance for any good input.

hmmmm i dont know too much about the k swap into a 92-95 (eg?)
although id imagine its the hardest of engine swaps out of the four options (h22 b16 b18 k20) just due to the technology and all the computer and sensors and stuff.
theres a kid going to my school (lives in mass) who did the h22 swap (in a 92-95) and hes running consistent 13.8's on stock engine/drivetrain (h22) and street tires. could check his car at the track if ur interested.
anyways back to your question since thats all you wanted posts about........ as a mechanic i cant see a reason you would have to change anything steering wise
brakes.. go bigger and better anyway be safe!
tranny modifying wont be nesecary if your taking the one that came bolted to the k20 stock.
custom exhaust of course.
one thing id worry about is fitment issues... somethings probably just wont have teh clearance it needs (ie. intake..exhaust) and youll have to move the battery. meaning you need to extend wires. if this is a daily driver its important that your charging system works properly so PM me and ill give ya a few tests to ensure this. also the throttle linkage might not reach the TB.

If you need help talk to the guys down at www.speedfetishperformance.com or go to www.houston-imports.com and in to the forums/sponsors/speed fetish.. Ask them. OH or HTOWNBOY from here *he works there*.... right now they are actually puting or just did a k20A3 in a Eg, but it should be quite simalar. and it also depends on if you want to keep powerstearing, and i dont think you can keep ac but im not sure.
the new honda tuning covers a k20 swap into an EG chassis. But in all fairness, for the Price, its not worth it unless ur super rich. U can swap a turbo GSR for about the same price as a full k20 install. Sure being different is cool, but not when it costs so much and acheives less.
