Question EGT Reading?

I just installed my EGT gauge. (Thanks proto) I have done some research on what the reading should be during WOT, but i need some clarification. I know that the reading will be cooler if the probe is placed in the downpipe. Wich is what ive done. I placed the probe in the downpipe instead of the 3rd cylinder runner. My question is what should the WOT reading be? Or what do i need to look for? Thanks in advance.

The downpipe is kinda far down stream, so I do not know what a good reading would be.

Mine was on the 3rd runner on the manifold.

My Defi gauge manual said to put it 30 inches downstream from the turbo. At normal driving it reads between 550 to 650 degrees and wot it reads between 1,000 to 1,150 degrees.
