Question Autometer Boost Gauge Question

I need some help here:

I just bought an Autometer Ultra-Lite boost gauge (4301) but I have a question:

It have a sticker that says: "Passed final callibration test" but the dial is not in 0. It is on about 3psi right now and it is not even installed.

Should I go to the store and have it replaced or is that normal??

lol, no you don't. Of course they will get shaken up from shipping and such, when you hook it up it will read 0 when off. If you're confused, hook it up to a vaccum line now... you'll see. Its only reading something else cause it has nothing to go by.

I work in a supplyer to many companys of performance parts and accessorys. I can take the cover off every box and find every gauge to be off.

any gauge that has mechanical parts will be off when not being hooked up.

But the Pyrometer is not mechanical, it is an Electrical Gauge

Alright then. Thank you very much.

I should be installing my custom turbo kit in about 2-3 weeks.

Just hook it up now onto a vacuum line temporarily and have someone floor it in neutral. If it hits zero and stays there while you are at WOT, it's fine....
