esc1 will make ecu goes into open loop when it senses postive pressure, which will prevent ecu to adjust fuel under boost. you still have to tune your close loop(not in boost) to desired a/f ratio at to prevent ecu touch your STFT.

Mad props to 'turboengnr'!
So...after reading about eManage "not" working right...does this lil` trick fix the problem?? ie. If the time is spent to set up your throttle trims and then tune and WOT, things should be sweet and the factory ECU will leave it alone and wont go changing things yeah?? Or should you still keep tabs on it every now and then to make sure its still where you last left it??
One more quick thing...
Check list for tuning:
OBDII Scanner
WideBand
Laptop with EMS Software
Is that all that is needed??
Again, huge thnx for this info

We did it with the RSX injectors.

Here is what a esc1 is
Description:
The ESC1 EGO Signal Conditioner alters the signal from EGO sensors under boost conditions. It may be used in either single or dual EGO sensor applications. Under vacuum conditions it outputs a signal which is identical to the EGO signals that appear at the input. Under boost, it outputs an internally generated signal to allow open loop operation.
The ESC1 is especially useful for forced induction conversions where a supercharger or turbocharger is fitted to an engine which is normally naturally aspirated. In the vacuum region of operation the ECU operates in its normal closed loop mode of operation. Under boost, the ECU transitions into an open loop mode and maintains its internal mapping tables.
The ESC1 allows the conversion to forced induction on engines with modern fuel injection including those with OBDII on-board diagnostics. The stock ECU programming may be used without activation of fault codes under boost.

do you know if there is a map for startup a/f? cause ever since the exhaust went on (along with I/H pnp head), my car is having trouble keeping steady idle right when starting it. It just bogs and shakes like the rpm is too low. then once it warms up a bit, everything is normal.
starting a car is done in open loop because of the o2 sensor nog being
hot enough for the chemical reaction to give a right value.actualy it wont
know how much mixtures because it in open loop? how dos this work than
to idle the car right if it doesnt work by the fuel trim in closed loop?
