K20 swap diy

alright so i might consider doing the k20 swap if i dont sell my car
if this has already been covered please lock this thread with a quickness
i read in the faq that a lift is needed for the swap
is it possible to do the swap myself in my garage?
has anyone done it? if so how did you manage getting the engine and tranny in and out?

i didn't say its impossible with a lift i said....
I don't know if its a driveway project, but its very possible someone can, and has done it.
If you take the motor out the top way you can more than likely do it without a lift, given that you have a engine crane. It's more than likely a hell of a lot easier coming out the bottom like i did.

u don't "need" a lift, but it would be alot easier so you can lift the car and the engine will jsut drop...

and you can just put the k20 under and lower the car on it and just bolt up to the subframe...

I pulled my d17 in 2-3 hours and had the K20 in, in less then 4. I did this with (2) jack stands, (1) 2 ton jack, (1) 1.5 ton engine hoist, (2) Extra people.
