Turbo Pressure on a Stock D17 engine

What is the maximum amount of boost that is able to be put on a D17 stick engine?

And for any more whats the least amount of upgrades needed?

Depends on your mods and fuel system. I have been running 9-10 psi daily for well over 1 year with no problems. There have been ppl that have blown HG's at 5 psi and ppl who have smoked pistons at 6-8 psi while others run 12-14 psi with no problems. There may be problems down the road but it all depends on the individual car.

if you tune the damn thing correctly, you can enjoy 10 psi daily.

If you dont know what the hell you are doing, you will break it no matter what you do.

Simply put, make sure whoever is working on your car (you, your friend, girlfriend, ex-boyfriends new husband, i dont care) make sure they know what the hell they are doing. If not, you will be regreting it.
