Hey guys when you're boosting...how big of a difference do you feel between hot and cold weather? I feel a HUGE difference....

Its supposed to be every 10F drop in temp gains 1% whp. Even tho I'm only na, if the temp drops from 90 to 30, thats a 6 whp difference. So yea turbo would be alot more.

I feel a huge difference. Like in the morning/afternoon, it is about 95-97F. Night is it about 67-75F. I still have a differnce in between.

Yeah during the day it sucks i don't even floor it because it feels so slow, At night you can tell right away the difference in the way your car picks up i also heard what gearbox said

yeah, I dont boost in the summer. If I do, its about 2am when it finally cools to about 80-95 degrees. I am not even gonna attempt **** in 115 degree days.

I definately notice a tremendous difference. summer can suck my ***** :cartman:

huge difference......during the day, i keep it at low boost so i don't run the chance of detonating.

can you explain why you would detonate on a hotter day? Wouldnt you be running richer? Since the air is more dense in the winter, you need mroe fuel to compensate. When its warmer, there is less air, needing less fuel. But its just way to hot to boost right now, either way. I noticed I backfire more in the summer time on idle and shifting.

Higher intake temperatures can lead to detonation. It also leads to higher combustion temperatures. Our knock sensors should pick it up and retard the timing. Gotta love OBD II cars
