do b series engines fit in a 7thgen?
after talkin wit a guy I know about a k series swap, ive decided against it cause its just gonna cost way too much... if i was to get the engine for 2 grand if i was lucky, i would have to sepdn another 2-3 grand on more parts just to get it in.
so this is my question, do the b series engines fit in our cars? just wonderin cause I know it will be cheaper to do.

Anything is possible if you have $$$. B series motor will fit but why? It going to cost you same amount of getting k motor ,and there is no motor mount out there for b series have to custom made it yourself/shop plus is not going be legal.
If you want a faster car with a power i sugguest you to swap k motor, turbo or get a new car with power.

if you have a lot of time and patience it can be done. I would say its more troubke than its worth but everyone has different objectives. Remeber that we have a dis and that multiplex control sys. That stuff equals lots of rewiring $$. Then figure on having custom mounts done I believe $$. Im not sure but you may need custom axles put together as well $$. All said it would be more inteligent to save the money and get a k20 because between all the bull and the fact that you'd get a better motor it will be more beneficial. Think of it this way, to get the same power as a k20 out of say a gsr swap you'd be spending about the same in say stage 2 cams and valvetrain. Not to mention the k20 has a wider torque curve and you could get a tight 6 speed tranny. I personally wouldnt waiste money and hours of work putting in a b18 when you could save a lil more money and swap a k20 motor in a weekend easily and totally surpass the b18 idea, plus be totally legal. Its been covered before but ultimately its your car. Just my $.02

umm, for the same price I can get a k series motor for I can get a b18c5 with the complete internals built ready to be turbo'd with everything needed to put in. i can care less if my motor is legal.... if I was going to spend the money on a k-series engine i might as well just sell the civic and buy a used rsx-s.
