SF is bye bye....u can still get a used kit.
You can always go TSI....but i wouldn't
IMO....i would buy someone's used kit. Should have bought opto's b4 he parted out.

custom isn't necessarily going to be more expensive. and a used turbo will last just fine so long as it never experienced coking, is clean, and has no shaft play.

TSI kit is fine in my opinion, but instead of using 2 extra injectors, Id get bigger injectors and an emanage.

The manifold: we use all stainless steel, theirs is cast iron.
The turbo: Both of us use Garrett, but our turbo is larger, therefore more bang for your buck
The wastegate: We use an external TiAL 38mm wastegate, which is more reliable and easier to tune. They use an internal wastegate, which is cheaper and less reliable.
All of our charge piping and downpipes are made from stainless steel.
We include a missing link to mask boost from the ECU.
Our extended downpipe includes a fully functional cat. Theirs does not.
Our wastegate is plumbed back into the exhaust to remain quieter and more emissions friendly.
For $3000 you can get their kit, or you can get our base kit of $3149. Choice is yours. The power, reliability and quality is here in our kit, but you have to want it and be willing to pay for it. Quality does not come cheap. I am sorry. Some people are satisfied with the second or third best, others will not settle anything shy of the best and back their investment 100%. Choice is yours.
reliability and cheap do not belong in the same sentance when it comes to forced induction..period...overall dezod might be more expensive, but you pay for the quality/name brand
if you are going to spend 3gs on a turbo kit whats an extra 1-200 for a better quality kit....
i dont understand why people are complaining about a difference of 1-200 for piece of mind......

2nd.. bigger turbo is not always better IMO
3rd my manifold is cast iron yes .. and the wastegate is piped back in so its jsut as quiet.
4th my kit came with a MAP box to mask off as you are stating
overall there is slight subtle differences in the dezod kit and mine and I paid about the same price. I am running the TSI extreme kti and have had no isses and very happy with it. Actually there are a few people in my area with the same kit as me now with no issues even.

Dezods kit is better quality, but you will have to spend a little more moiney getting up and running. TSIs is pretty good at doing that. You just have to pick up some gauges, fluids, plugs, somewhere for the gauges to mount, and maybe a few more misc stuff. With Dezods, you need an Emanage (which is pretty much needed for any setup for reliability), injectors, a way to supply the extra fuel. TSIs kit comes with 2 extra injectors and a block they are mounted in. It sits on top of the TB, and sprays in the extra fuel you need which is controlled by a unit they send you as well. StreetLevelPerformance may be able to get the eManage and TSI Extreme kit for under 3gs. or right around there. Id check that out.
btw, I have the tsi extreme, and am very happy with it.
