custom turbo for $500?

the ideas are good but its like the ricers guide to turbos. i know its good info for newbies but alot is overlooked. something simple like external vs internal wastegate which is a simple concept but big deal. i dunno. good write up but not an only source!

yeah, and it seems that way. but it will end up costing more money. He didnt mention gauges, a boost controller, how to adjust the fuel, the tune, clutch will go out, etc, etc. He failed to mention a lot of important things. you also get what you pay for. I bought a kit, and will upgrade everything individually. Plus Ill have an extra turbo kit to sell when Im done, hehe.

I'm pretty sure that all of those little costs that you incur while installing the kit make it a similar cost to pre made turbo kits. Plus, I don't think I would want all bottom of the line parts when my engine is at risk.
