stock cat w/ nitrous ?
Some people say they've had cat failure because they run nitrous. Is this common? Is it worth it to go with the test pipe, because then you'll need an o2 sim or wb? Thanks-
if you get megan racing resonator, you will be able to have cel off with just a small mod that requires a spark plug non-fouler, I did mines that way with nitrous 80 shot and no cel problems. Some people say nitrous damages the stock cat, so buying a megan resonator for cheap wont hurt. Spark plug non fouler is 5 bucks and works good.
I've run nitrous on my 00 odyssey for a few years now with no issues. i'm in the process of adding it to my 03 blown Si....I do have the Megan high flow cat however now...should have no issues.
well...i'm going to 'test' my setup at the local BMV soon. If not i'll have to swap the cat every 2 years. as long as they don't do a visual check and you don't have a CEL, you should be ok. I have heard that the Si will pass emmissions even without a cat! we'll see...i'll keep you poseted if I have it done.
it's such an easy swap, at least the megan stuff, that it's no issue for me to do it once every few years!
