Civic w/ mopar turbo?
i have a civic 98 hatch and my friend is selling a mopar turbo from his neon srt and hes selling cheap. I dont think this turbo would work with a japanese car but some of my friends say it will after i get a swap. And people i chat with dont think it will fit. im need someone to clear this up.

wont fit. the exhaust housing of the turbo is cast into the manifold. Meaning that unless you swap to an SRT4 motor, the turbo will not work.
unless you cut the turbo off then weld the cast iron to a custom manifold. But then you will have severe cracking problems.

the SRT4 turbo is a model specific turbo. It has a special exhaust housing that is cast as a one piece exhaust manifold and exhaust housing. It also has a dowel pin on the exhaust side of the turbo that aligns the one piece manifold-housing into one specific angle.
It will only work on those two cars.

The Dodge turbos also have something backwards on them. I can't remember if its the rotation or the orientation of them, something is goofy. Its basically completely incompatable with everything.
