I searched on here and didnt find anything about this was wondering if the d17 is a fairly direct bolt in for older model civics, asking this because the low miles, low price etc. on most d17's. Doesent seem so bad a daily driver swap if it isnt a big headache to do

i think it would be a bigger headache with the wiring u would have to do, probably the same price and less headache, to throw in a more powerful and better B series engine, like a b16a/b18b/ or b18c1

I think a B18 would be far better than a D17 in an older civic. Swap a K20 into a CRX, hasport even has mounts for it now.

my friend put a D17 in his crx...ill try and get some pics, it was a pain for him to do, but cost was the main reason he did it. But he loves the 100+hp compared to the 65 the D15 put out, haha

y would u do a d17? a d16a6 is cheaper, then grab a z6 or y8 head and ur good to go. I still live by B-series... 2 bad u cant swap them into a 7th gen.

you can still get those b18b ls blocks for same price as the d17. but more likely the d will have lesser miles as there more recent/new
