sorry to say, alcohol is not the safe way, proper parts, fuel and tuning are the correct way

nice mod but why not just get larger injectors +fuel pump and a good tune rather then the alcohal injection?

can the larger injectors not be done on our cars?

more about Alcohol/Water Injection...

Suppressing Engine Knock. Water/alcohol injection works to suppress engine knock in several ways. First, the water (and alcohol) reduces the temperature of the compressed air. When the exhaust gases are expelled from the combustion chamber, the cylinder, piston, and valve surfaces are at a very high temperature. The water entering the cylinder with the compressed air will work to cool these surfaces and any hot spots which might exist. It is in these hot spots that predetonation would typically occur. As the air is compressed in the cylinder, the water serves to reduce air to fuel contact, reducing the likelihood of auto-detonation. Lastly, if any alcohol is used, it serves to increase the octane of the fuel.

Increasing Intake Air Density. As previously mentioned, the water serves to decrease the temperature of the charged air. Since water/alcohol injection presents no additional flow restriction, this reduction in temperature can only be accompanied by in increase in air density. Also, when the water cools the metal surfaces in the combustion chamber during the intake stroke, this allows more air to enter the cylinder - effectively increasing the volumetric efficiency of the engine.

at 15psi your stock injectors will not supply enough fuel.

anywayz, congrats on the install.

ppl have been injecting pure water for yrs. In fact, water injection was used in WWII for the supercharged fighter planes.

Water injection is a cheap/safe way to increase power. Because of the increased combustion temps, ppl pull timing. On avg you lose 5 hp for every degree of timing pulled. So, say you pull 5 degrees, there you lose about 25hp. A properly tuned water injected engine will make alot of power while maintaining the stock timing. Water burns just like gasoline and in fact absorbs heat 4 times better than gasoline. This means that you can safely lean out your car for more hp.

There is nothing wrong with running a properly tuned water injected motor.

yeah, stock isn't worth it...... but a modded n/a motor can benefit from water injection. Cars that have knock sensors retard timing when it senses detonation which can be from low octane fuel or being under a load. This will hurt your hp and actual hurts your fuel mileage. I've seen engines that were datalogged where the knock sensor actually pulled 12 degrees. While using water injection, you can cool the air intake and combustion chamber temps while keeping the stock timing for more hp.
