look what i finished today

I finally completed this turbo manifold for my friend. He has a 2003 SRT4. This fits the GT35RBB turbo in with NO problems. These pics were taken about 10 mins after i finished it. I still need to get rid of the weld spatter and sand blast it.

This is a made from 304 stainless.

what do you guys think?

Pedro Lopes is an unknown quantity at this point
Looks awesome. I love EL manifolds. It looks like one big knot. I have to learn how to weld.

that is tig welded. It took me along the lines of 12 hours total to jig it, prototype it, and build it. I should have waited for 2 things before welding it..... #1. Sleep (was up for 2 days when i welded that) and #2. The right sized rod. I was using the only rod i had, which was about 2 steps too large for my gap.

I did mig weld the flage on, but thats because #1: i am lazy, and #2. didnt want to warp the flange with all the heat.

anyway, my friend just wanted to replace his cast iron log manifold. So i built this.

It fits a GT35R with no problem.

lesson learned: Dont weld when your having a hard time standing on your own.
