TSI Extreme Turbo kit for D17
TSI Extreme Turbo kit for D17
Hey does anyone have this kit? And if so what do you think of it? where did you buy it? and how much did you pay? How long did it take to install and how hard was it? Did you have to get it tuned at a place or did it come pre-programmed?
If some one knows of a better one or a good complete turbo kit for the D17 please let me know. On ultrarev.com they're asking 2,817$ for the TSI kit.
Thanks for the help.

go to the forced induction and swaps forums and there you'll find the forum on the TSI kit.
I have it installed and went through turbo-kits.com. I'm not bashing any other place as to where you buy it, somebody will cut you a good deal. I don't wish to tell you all the details, you will find everything in that forum.
I'll tell you one thing though, whoever you choose to go through, if you have to get questions answered by TSI themselves, make sure they will not hesitate to contact them! You will not get through to TSI on your own without the hookup. Jesse at turbo-kits.com did a really good job on this, and actually got me a direct call to TSI where I was given somebody to ask for and got him in a matter of minutes. He also cut me a good deal: have proof of showing my car at my obligated 3 meets a year because of my sponsorship, and he'll cut me a check for, well, let's say enough just to get his name out.
Best of luck!

If its 2817 for a BB turbo, w/the extreme kit (w/IC and fuel system) DO IT! Thats a great deal. I am installing my TSI kit tomorrow/saturday. Hopefully all goes well. But there are supposedly fitment issues with the kit some people say. I have had excellent luck so far, so lets hope it stays and fits perfectly. PM SLP and see what they can do as well, the one who replied to your thread

[QUOTE=EternalBlue_Vic]I have a modified TSI T25bb kit. (Custom Charge pipes, larger i/c, EL manifold)
The kit is very nice! The quality is somewhat generic, but it makes a great deal of power over stock. I ran a 14.19 on street tires @ 9psi Last saturday and a 14.58 @6psi the saturday before. (with other mods and mild weight reduction) The fuel system to say the least is decent
The ICU has a built in digital vac-boost read out, turbo timer, and rev limiter.
It does not come pre-tuned. You must do this on your own. I have a .pdf file of TSI's recommended tuning specs, hit me up on AIM anytime for that. The tuning is rather simple with the aid of even a narrowband a/f guage (not recommended though)
dam so you ran 14.19@9psi, thats awsome. icant wait to see what my car does. soon enough when the track opens. if your running 9psi at 14.1 then i should be in the high 13's. being that i have the t28bb. next week my car goes into the shop for e-manage, and the harnesses, new HG and ARP headstuds..so im excited.awsome bro keep it up.

Nice times eternal blue, I cant wait to go to the track and see what she does. Maybe in 2 weeks, unless somebody will babysit next weekend for a little bit. Nice to hear the kit makes some pretty good numbers. Any idea of HP? Thats what I really want to know, it will be a few weeks til I can get tuned (maybe 1 week, we'll see)
