Objection to Moderator
I don't used to get into this forum. But I object the way the moderator's doing. I think most of time when somebody posts a very stupid idea, it is good to make people to PROVE it. Yes, prove it, rather than just doing LOL thing and then close the thread. For example, use concepts in thermaldynamics to prove why one product works better than the other, or why something that doesn't work at all. In ICE form I use stability and control system to show what is good and what is bad. I think this will be a better idea to let somebody really get into the subject before formally close some threads.

It doesn't limit to the moderator of this form. But moderators for all. Get somebody to prove something that's not working, it will save your time to keep reposts from appearing again.

But I am administering several forums and I always tell my moderators to "let people say whatever first, then give somebody with real knowledge to struck them down if they are wrong, and don't be honest not to delete threads with all the LOLs and just emoticons." This way everybody comes up with the idea will know that it is PROVEN to be wrong, then they will keep away with the idea and won't start the same new thread again.

I don't usually lock with a "LOL" or a emoticon. If its been covered before, I usually provide a link to where you can find an answer unless its a real basic question and then I hit you with an iron manifold.
What thread are you referring to? Also, please next time PM the mod you have an issue with or post in the site questions and concerns if its a general mod question.

You're trying to have something fixed before it's even broken.
As you said, you administrate different forums. As an administrator, you should understand that all rules to one forum can't carry over to another, there is no universal formula to running any forum at all. I think they're doing a great job, and I have seen none of the problems that you are suggesting a fix for.
