need info on turbos for d17
well i just filled a lemon law on a 2004 acura tsx and my lawyers tell me im going to get all my money back that i put into the car which is 40000$. im going to get my wife some breast implants and for me a turbo for my 2002 honda civic. ive been looking around on the internet for some turbos for it and there seems to be a few of them out there available. i noticed from this website that a lot of people seem to have problems with the SF kit so i dont know about that. if anyone has any input at all i would greatly appreciate it. thank you

so u bought a tsx, why bc u needed a CAR, so now with the money ur getting back shouldnt u buy another car, did u need the tsx in the first place?
i bought it for my wife when i came home from deployment in iraq. and i dont need another car cause i have a 2000 integra also plus the tsx is still driveable, but it has some problems with the idle and brakes. the only reason why i filled a lemon law on it was because acura told my wife not to bring the car back to them cause then dont know how to fix it. they also told me they were going to buy it back from me and give me a new tl but they changed there mind and my wife was upset so i told her i would file the lemon law on it.

they told me that because my car has been to them 4 time with idle problems. each time they told me that they fixed the problem and within 2 days it would start again. as for the brakes is almost the same thing. it went to them 4 times for brake problems and 3 times they had to resurface the rotors and replace the pads and the last time they had to replace the rotors and the pads. those are just the big problems. ive had a windshield loose, vibration in the dash, the chrome on thier factory wheels bubble up on all 4 wheels, and another one that i dont personally believe happened but my wife told me that one day she was driving the car home and it completely shut off on her i mean the whole car just died going down the freeway. so it spent a month and a half in the dealer for that. and you are right its all covered under warranty, but wouldnt you get tired of having to take you brand new car to the dealer constantly for repair. and like you i didnt think that acura would be stupid enought to say something like that, but one of my friends works in service over there and he told me that he was right there when the service manager told my wife that. it may sound hard to believe but its all true. sometimes you may get a single car out of the bunch that for some unknown reason has all these problems and thats why theres a lemon law.

dude, if you have 40k to spend...get those boobies for like 10k for ur wife. Spend like 7k on a k20a2 swap, spend another 8k on a kit, and some engine internals, and run 11's and own everyone you meet.

Also it is hard to believe. I mean aucra is a one of the top reliable car. I don't see why it has soo many problems.
you know i tried that route. the thing is the actuall dealer cant decide to trade a car in it has to be the customer service part of the overall acura manufacturer. i went that route and they told me that they would and for no reason the changed there mind. as for the engine swap i would love to do that, but i would be satisfied with just the turbo. i want to put some money away for my son.
also you are right acura has very reliable cars. its a very nice car it has the navigation and every option that they have for it, but like i said i got the bad one out of the batch.

dude, i was reading in last months Honda Tuning that Edlebrock made a turbo kit for a D17. But personally I'd rather have a K20 swap with all the internals then throw on a turbo. Even if you can't do it all at once a K20 has so much more potential then a D17. But about the Edlebrock turbo I read about it in the magazine but other than that I haven't really looked into it cause I'm goin the K20 route.
