Anyone know where I can pick up an 02 sim for a good price? Or is it totaly necessary when putting on a high flow cat and turbo?

Depending on the cat your using.

If your using a REAL Cat, like Random Tech or Car Sound.....no.

A test pipe or resonator like Megan, HP......Yes it is needed.

That is not a Random Tech. Looks like a resonator.


Take the piece. Install it. If you get a CEL for Bank 1 Sensor 2 malfunction....then you know it is not a cat, and requires an O2 Sim.

what would happen if i drove it with the cel for a week? if it doesn't read the 2nd o2 sensor then the ecu goes into open loop and will make tuning the fuel difficult right?I have the cel now because I had to gut my stock cat because of when I used to spray It runs strong still but Would the ecu not allow the emanage to controll the fuel correction?

It will make it harder to tune. I'd recommend not driving too long with a CEL on like that w/ boost.

When I was throwing a CEL for an O2 sensor, my A/Fs were really lean, like the ECU ignored the E-manage and read fuel from a different map.

yeah the ecu goes into Limited operations stratagy mode and reads and sends fuel pulses to the injectors at a set time rather then according to the ignition and readings from the sensors. Just learmed that in school

Yeap im an ex yopur gonan laugh when i telly uo what ima do, have the normal o2 sensor, one foa zeitronix wideband hooked up to my laptop and one for my aem wideband gauge LOL im so dumb i should just go kill myself now
